Drop testing back up devices for rope access use.

Testing a two person load : 160kg simulating rescues.

The following devices where tested:
Petzl Shunt
Heightsafety backup
Singing Rock Locker
Petzl ASAP

This is not a scientific test. Non aggressive devices tend to behave more differently on different ropes than aggressive devices. It should be noted that two person loads are for rescue purposes and is not normal use of the equipment. This is not an indication of equipment performance. The tests are beyond normal circumstances. (ie, two person loading and a large fall factor).
